I’M LOOKING FOR A HUSBAND, DO YOU KNOW HIM?
Documentary film and broadcast on Radio Campus Paris
SUMMER TO WINTER 2025
LATEST
PROJECT

June 2025. I arrive at the BBC, holding my signs. I don’t know his name, but I know he works here. That’s how the quest begins.

A moment of boldness under the British sky. Right in front of Big Ben, I ask the city: Have you seen my husband?

People came. People smiled. One of them stayed. But… is it him?

June 2025. I arrive at the BBC, holding my signs. I don’t know his name, but I know he works here. That’s how the quest begins.
In June 2025,
I travel to London to look for a husband, through a participatory performance set in the streets of
the city.
For five days, I walk through the city wearing a sandwich board that reads:
I’m looking for a husband.
He works at the BBC.
I hand out flyers, paste posters,
ask strangers questions.
I play, I doubt, I tell my story.
As the days go by, my quest becomes more ambiguous, more tender.
Between performance, real desire,
and staged fiction,
I let myself be carried by what unfolds.
The high point comes on Sunday,
June 15, at Speakers' Corner.
I climb onto a stool, take the mic,
and tell my story.
That day, a man proposes to me.
Fiction or reality?
The line begins to blur.
The answer will come in the fall,
with the release of the documentary film
and a special radio episode broadcast on Radio Campus Paris
(France’s first student radio station).
I’M LOOKING FOR A CRITIC, ARE YOU ONE?
Live performance at the ÉCOLE DU LOUVRE
SEPTEMBER 2025

Standing at the threshold of the museum, embodying the question rather than the answer.

“I’m looking for a critic. Who dares to ask: is this art?”

At the heart of the Louvre, the performance condenses into one image: the artist holding the sign, standing as presence, provocation, and proof.

Standing at the threshold of the museum, embodying the question rather than the answer.
A living artwork crossing the Louvre and its school.
Inserting the artist’s presence into the institution itself, as a question of recognition and legitimacy.
I walk into the École du Louvre wearing
a sandwich board that reads:
I’m looking for a critic. Are you one?
I hand out flyers in the corridors,
I invite, I disturb, I intrigue.
Then I step into the amphitheater.
I sit, I stand, I speak, I expose myself.
For a few minutes,
I become both artist and critic.
I present my work, but I also question it.
I ask the audience to take the role
usually reserved for others:
to judge, to doubt, to decide.
Is this a work of art?
What do you keep from it?
At what moment did you hesitate?
Between vulnerability and strategy,
I let the dialogue unfold.
Recognition is never given —
it is at stake, here and now.
This performance takes place
as part of the very first contemporary art festival ever held at the École du Louvre,
a historic moment inside one of the most prestigious art history schools
in the world, located at the heart of the Louvre Museum in Paris.
Teaser I — A performative statement.
The artist walks as a sandwich-woman while her voice insists: “I am the Artist of the Decade.”
A gesture of defense, exposure, and self-affirmation in the public arena.
Teaser II — Inside the Arena
In the Goya amphitheater, the artist turns a lecture hall into a stage.
Six minutes forty of presence, doubt, and defiance, a performance that blurs the line between statement and self-exposure.

A quiet moment before the six minutes forty, where silence still holds the weight of what is about to be said.

September 11, 2025, Goya amphitheater, the artist we needed.

Carole Pelé has already created a radio show. No medium is forbidden to her. Who is Carole Pelé?

A quiet moment before the six minutes forty, where silence still holds the weight of what is about to be said.
“A candid artist, she doesn’t create art, she lives it. An artist who reshapes our very notion of art and performance.
Her work springs directly from experience.
Her authenticity is striking, urging the audience to live an artistic life themselves.
What audacity! What will be Carole Pelé’s next adventure?”
Here, the audience becomes the critic.
Their words, written on the spot, reveal both the disruption and the power of the performance.
GIVING VOICE THROUGH ART:
AMPLIFYING THE SPIRIT OF THE OLYMPICS
JULY 2024 TO FEBRUARY 2025
With the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games in focus,
this body of work utilizes art as a powerful voice to challenge, celebrate, and unite.
It transforms the Games into a platform for reflection, questioning, and dialogue around ambition, resilience, and inclusivity.
For the Olympic Games, my performance I Am the Artist of the Decade, Can You See It?
uses posters, flyers, and a sandwich board costume to stake my claim as an artist in a competitive world.
This public intervention disrupts traditional art forms, presenting a bold declaration of visibility and purpose.
For the Paralympic Games, This is My Story. Will You Support Me? shifts the focus to amplify the voices of athletes.
Through video and photographic interviews, their stories of resilience create a bridge between spectators and the athletes themselves.
The work celebrates their journeys, expanding the conversation about strength, inclusivity, and achievement.
Together, these projects use the global stage of the Games to amplify voices, connecting humanity through art and shared experiences.
INVALIDES, PARIS
This is my story, will you support me?
is a short documentary project I started during the Paralympic Games.
Through video and photo portraits,
I wanted to shine a light on athletes with disabilities by giving them the opportunity to share their stories, challenges,
and resilience.
For the first time, I stepped out of the frame to create a space where each protagonist could express themselves fully. Using sets I designed, their testimonies take on an artistic and immersive dimension, enhancing the power of
their narratives.
As a symbolic conclusion to this project, a large letter has been displayed
in front of the Ministry of Culture.
Captured on video, this powerful
moment marks the culmination of my Paralympic journey and closes this unique artistic endeavor before opening a new chapter. This video serves as a testament to the project's strength and its commitment to increasing the visibility of athletes with disabilities.
A symbolic gesture in front of the Ministry of Culture to close this Paralympic journey and amplify the voices of athletes with disabilities.
LES CHAMPS-ÉLYSÉES, PARIS
In contrast,
for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games,
I Am the Artist of the Decade,
Can You See It? boldly engages with public spaces through posters, flyers,
and a sandwich board costume.
This performance asserts my identity
as an artist while questioning art's place in a world focused on measurable achievements. By blending art
and performance, I aim to spark
a conversation on visibility,
competition, and the value of art.
Limited-edition posters will fund
the project, reinforcing the concept of
art for art's sake, without profit involved.
A spontaneous installation bridging street performance and the gallery space at Perrotin.
I HAVE A MESSAGE FOR YOU.
JULY AND MARCH 2024
This two-part performance explores the universal theme of dreams through installations, public interventions, and live performances.
The first chapter unfolds in Rome, as part of the Performa festival, where I engage with local residents to ask, “What are your dreams?”
The second chapter brings this question to life in the vibrant streets of New York,
where dreams meet the reality of a city synonymous with aspiration.
From Rome to New York, this project creates a space for artistic reflection and community dialogue,
celebrating the dreams that unite us across cultures.
WASHINGTON SQUARE PARK, NEW YORK
In July, I take my project I Have a Message for You to New York, a city emblematic of dreams and opportunities.
In Manhattan, I engage the city with posters, roll-ups, and a sandwich board costume, asking, “What are your dreams?” The project culminates
ina performance at Washington Square Park, connecting with the diversity
and creative spirit of the city.
Revelation in the heart of Times Square: my dream, on display.
ROMA TRE UNIVERSITY, ROME

Preparing for a performance on the theme of dreams, where every detail is an invitation to dream.

Facing the audience, with my speech translated into Italian, the exchange begins.

With the flyer in hand, a final portrait in front of the poster, symbolizing the end of the performance.

Preparing for a performance on the theme of dreams, where every detail is an invitation to dream.
Earlier, in March, I presented a similar performance in Rome as part of the Performa festival at Roma Tre University.
Over a week, I invited the people of Rome to reflect on their dreams, creating a space for exchange and introspection. Both cities are explored through
a universal question, highlighting
shared humanity, culture, and aspirations.
This project bridges cultures and connects people through a simple yet profound question, celebrating our collective dreams.
I AM AN ARTIST SHAPING THE FUTURE. CAN YOU SEE IT?
2024
This project is an invitation to witness the evolution of art as a space for dialogue, reflection, and transformation.
Through a journey that spans multiple phases, I challenge the conventional boundaries of art and its relationship with the world around us.
October: The Orion Tower – Open Studios. A more intimate exploration of how art interacts with space, offering an experimental view of the creative process.
November: Art Basel – Global Art Market. Engaging with the art market as a space for both connection and critique, questioning how art can transcend its commercial context to ignite real change.
December: Galerie Strouk – Traditional Gallery Setting. Culminating in a formal presentation, this phase encapsulates the evolution of the project and its impact.
GALERIE STROUK, PARIS
Reimagining the Everyday –
Art’s Power to Shape the Future.
Collaborating with Milana Gabriel,
this installation challenges the everyday perception of art by transforming
a cigarette pack into a medium
of expression.
Each pack contains a personal message, inviting the viewer to see art as more than an object of visual appreciation—
it is a catalyst for reflection and change.
This piece is a conversation between
the artist, the object, and the viewer,
and it encourages us to question
the potential of art to reshape our future.
ART BASEL, PARIS
The Performance as Act of Connection – Art and Commerce,
Blurred Boundaries
At Art Basel, my performance as
a "sandwich board" woman wearing
the phrase "I am an artist shaping
the future" is both a provocation and
a personal aspiration.
Though not officially part of the fair,
my presence serves as an act
of dreaming—a gesture that questions art's relationship with commerce
and culture. Through this performance,
I offer a new vision, a space where art
is not confined to a gallery but exists
in the dynamic exchange between
artist and audience.
This performance challenges both myself and the art world to think beyond traditional boundaries, imagining a future where art is not just observed but lived, shaped, and experienced together.
ORION TOWER, MONTREUIL
A Bold Declaration and Call to Action: Art as a Space for Reflection and Transformation.
This work is a bold declaration and
a call to action. "I Am an Artist Shaping the Future. Can You See It?" reflects my commitment to transforming contemporary art into a space for exchange and reflection, pushing beyond the constraints of traditional boundaries.
It asserts my role as an artist shaping
this pivotal decade—one marked by profound social and cultural upheaval.
With its minimalist black-and-white aesthetic, every word is carefully
chosen to provoke thought and ignite engagement.
This piece invites you to reflect on
art’s role today, the influence of artists, and how creativity can reshape our understanding of the world.
MALICE AND HATRED HAVE NO PLACE IN ÉCLANS-NENON.
FEBRUARY 2024, EASTERN FRANCE
Inspired by the dignified response of Gabriel Brémond, mayor of
Éclans-Nenon, to cruel homophobic graffiti, this intervention replaces hate
with messages of unity and resilience.
Through collages on vandalized spaces,
I reclaim the public space, affirming
the power of compassion over violence.
This work emphasizes art’s role in healing and fostering dialogue around injustice.
SOPHIE, DO YOU SEE ME?
JUNE 2023, PARIS
MILESTONE
PROJECT
This project is a personal investigation to connect with artist Sophie Calle.
By following clues from her life,
I launched a public search through
a classified ad: “I dream of meeting Sophie Calle. Do you know her?”
This collective search culminated in
a meeting with Calle herself, highlighting the transformative power of vulnerability, human connection, and the porous boundaries between art, life, and desire.
